Police investigating more vandalized vehicles

Marion Police Department is investigating a second string of vandalized vehicles. Windows have been shot out of vehicles and is consistent with a pellet or a BB gun-type of weapon.

Eight complaints were filed April 10, another 16 on April 11. According to an MPD press release, vandalism is taking place during the early morning hours. There are no witnesses at this time. Incidents have been reported in northeast Marion.

Marion Kindergarten Roundup

Families with children starting kindergarten next school year are encouraged to come visit their elementary schools and get a jump start on the registration process. Two sessions will be available April 19, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Children who are 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 can attend kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. Informational sessions will be held at each elementary school.
